The function of the electric motor: convert the battery's electrical energy into mechanical energy to drive the electric vehicle's wheels to rotate, so as to achieve the purpose of continuous riding of the electric vehicle.
When the motor is working, the coil and commutator rotate, the magnet and carbon brush do not rotate, and the alternating change of the coil current direction is completed by the commutator and carbon brush that rotate with the motor. The brushed motor is stronger than the brushless motor, and has fewer wires, just one positive and one negative wire. If the motor is reversed, just swap the positions of the two wires to complete it.
In the electric vehicle industry, brushed motors are divided into high-speed brushed motors and low-speed brushed motors. There are many differences between brushed motors and brushless motors. The simple way to distinguish them is: brushed motors have carbon brushes, and brushless motors do not have carbon brushes. However, brushed motors are noisy, and brushed motors have been basically eliminated.
Common types of motors include: brushed geared high-speed hub motor, brushed gearless low-speed hub motor, brushless gearless low-speed hub motor, brushless geared high-speed hub motor, side-mounted motor, etc.
